Lore Of Crystalax

For centuries the world of Crystalax was a place of perfect harmony and balance between the natural world and the arcane. Within it’s realm, the four different lands - the Shadowlands, the Volcano plain, Arcane Island, and the Wildlands, housed several tribes and there was peace. No one tribe dominated over the other. This is because each tribe protected one of the 4 crystals of power - Fire, Shadow, Nature, and Arcane. By doing so, it maintained order and kept the others in check.

 

Then, for some unknown reason, the crystals fractured and 4 magical relics which are fragments were created. The now warped arcane energies caused magic to act unpredictably and random portals from unknown worlds began to open. This caused what the inhabitants of Crystalax call The Chaos. During The Chaos, strange new beings began to invade and so war between tribes was inevitable.

 

You are the Chieftain of one of the tribes of Crystalax. Will you defend your tribe and destroy your opponent or fall to the invaders of the realm and let it fall further into chaos?

DWARVES:

Baragoth was a legendary warrior that forged his blade in the heart of the volcano plains Volcano known as the heart of Crystalax. His blade was imbued with the energy of the red crystal, making it one of the most durable blades of the time and rumor has it that the blade gave it's wielder increased strength and resiliance. Stories have said that Baragoth took out armies of vampires, once thought to be unstoppable.

Lord Ironbeard was a great warrior and king of the dwarves. Although he was integral in negotiating peace between the dwarves and the other tribes, he secretly holds contempt for the vampires and mystics for their corruption of nature and blames them for the crystals cracking. 

SHAMAN:

The shaman are a savage tribe that uses nature's magic to tap into the fierceness within all living creatures. They use totem spirits, nature energy and a special connection with the animals on the planet to become a blend of both man and beast. Shaman can see with the eyes of the eagle, fight with the claws of the bear, heart of the lion and speed of the jaguar. They can also commune with nature to speak with Rasha, their nature goddess. Stories also tell of them being able to summon totem animal spirits to fight by their side. 

Mystics:

The Mystics are the masters of magic and since the time of the Chaos, they have learned how to channel that chaotic energy for their benefit. They use the Chaos to warp reality, manipulate the mind, teleport to different places and dimensions and focus it into a powerful weapon. One of the most powerful mystics is Phileas, the Chaos Oracle. He is the current head mystic at the order of the rift and the guardian of the blue crystal. He has achieved a pure connection with the Chaos which has given him the sight, allowing him to see the past, the future and beyond. This is all done at a price. Some say it has driven him mad, but they wouldn't dare say it to his face. 

Vampires:

The vampires are in a constant state beyond life and death. They must feed on other living beings to survive. Although they pride themselves as being above the other tribes with a certain arrogance, they can be savage horrors, draining the life essence through the blood. The shadow crystal is said to give them their power of fortitude and life unending. It also gives them access to dark magic energies that makes one vampire formidable and an clan of vampires almost unstoppable. 

The current ruler of the vampires is the sire, Vladak, Lord of the Crimson Court. He is said to have lived when then crystals of power emerged from the planet's core and brought magic to the world. His goal has always been to gain control of all 4 crystals and rule the land, but until the Chaos, the other crystals have prevented this from becoming reality. Now that the crystals have been acting unpredictably, he has hope that dominance can finally become a reality.
